I have a three-year-old Dell XPS laptop. It has
windows xp on it and runs Internet Explorer 7 (service pack I as far as I can tell.) Recently my Hotmail inbox and various other web pages have quit working correctly. For instance, when I get to my inbox and click on an email, nothing happens. When I check mail and click delete, nothing happens. When I try to go to folders from my inbox, nothing happens. If I left-click and try to open in a new tab or page, nothing happens. Other pages react similarly. For instance - when I am on my insurance site, and I try click "make a payment" or "account history" nothing happens....other pages work correctly. When the web page/links don't work, the bottom of the page either says "error on page" or "javascript;;"I have reset original web browsing options in internet tools. I have downloaded updates for Internet 7; I have reinstalled javascript. Nothing has worked.I don't know if this has anything to do with McAfee or not...it expired recently, and I did not want to renew. I tried to uninstall it, but it won't uninstall. When I go to add/remove programs and find McAfee and click remove, the page blinks and nothing happens. Perhaps the two are completely unrelated, but I thought it worth mentioning. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!Smeffletop:smile:
