 Windows update fails to install? I'm using Windows XP, SP3. My computer is a Dell Optiplex GX270 (full tower, not the smaller horizontal things), 3.20 GHz processor with 1GB RAM. I tried to use Windows Update today after finding out that I 11 critical updates. They all downloaded, but when it goes to install, it just fails. I've turned off my anti-virus, and my firewall.
