Serious Graphical Issue Hello, a few weeks ago i went to boot my computer and found there were horizontal streaks across the boot screen and the XP logo. The computer gets to the point where the welcome screen should appears and then stops. The screen looses the signal, but the computer keeps running. I have been able to boot into safe mode, but the screen is very distorted with horizontal lines everywhere making reading things near impossible. I have tryed reinstalling my drivers for the graphics card but this had no effect. Ive checked and cleaned the system Ram, but still nothing. Even the bios screen has horizontal lines. What could be causing this and how can i fix it? Could it be the power supply? Or is the graphics card on its way out? My system specs are: Intel Pentium D 3Ghz Asrock 4CoreDualVsta Motherboard Radeon X800GT 256Mb with Latest Catalyst Drivers Main Hard Drive: Seagate U6 40Gb Second Hard Drive: Samsung HD3 300Gb Optiquest Q2202wb 22inch Monitor EYE-T 550W ATX Power Supply Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
