Hi, I am trying to get a yes or no answer as to whether a certain card will work in my computer. I have a dell dim e521 with the dreaded 305w psu, amd athlon 64 x 2 dual core proc. 4000+ 2.10 ghz, 1.93 gb of ram. The current card is an integrated nvidia geforce 6150le. I want to add a second samsung 19" syncmaster monitor to have more deskspace, and having done lots of reading of info on the web I still am not sure if I can move up to a nvidia or xfx geforce 8600gt which looks to be the most advanced card I can upgrade to. I am not a gamer and use my comp. for everyday use and e-baying and some photo and video editing. I think the 8600 is all I need the only other thing I am not sure of is what amount of ram(mb?) I need. From what I am reading 256 with ddr2 or 3 is plenty and I do not need 512 or higher. Am I on track with my research, and is this 8600gt the right card for me? Thank you in advance. Doghouse56
