Default nvidia geforce fx 5200 (overlay video and game play problems)

Operating system: windows xp Professional Service Pack 2Motherboard: - Manufacturer, Intel Corporation- Model, D845GEBV2- Version, AAA97674-107CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHzMemory: 512MB DDRDisplay Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (128MB)Driver Version: 6.14.11.7519DirectX: DirectX 9.0c I have upgraded my driver to the latest one available, i am having problems with the desktop and overlay (video) colors as they seem toodark, and the same thing happens when i play games, e.g counter strike 1.6, Counter Strike Source and the old Age of Empires 2. It all works fine without my geforce graphic card, except both the Counter Strikes as they require better cards, so the problem is that i cant set the colors right, so can someone please help me out?and if there is more information needed please ask me, Thank You.P.S i have tried the right click>properties>settings>advance>Geforce FX 5200>Display, adjusting the colors but it just isn't right, do i need some kind of codecs or something?please help.
