I have been running a Geforce 8800 GTX for about a year now and no matter what fixes are suggested the problem does not seem to want to go away.When ever an AVI (and in some cases a QT) is played in ANY media player (e.g. WMP, QTMP, VLC MP, etc) the whole system crashes - a "Blue Screen of Death" message appears for about 0.5 of a second, and so therefore cannot be read.The same happens for any AVI based media creation products, such as After Effects.I've tried updating drivers, rolling drivers back, downloading new codecs, updating and backdating DirectX and QT versions, but nothing fixes the issue.I am running WinXP Pro SP2, on a HP xw6400, Intel Xeon 2.33 GHz, 2GB RAM, Geforce 8800 GTX 512MB (I think).I am by no means a computer buff so have exhausted all my knowledge on the situation and emplore anybody whom may so be able to assist for their help!They say 'please are the needful' and I ask you all 'please help me' as this is really starting to affect work.Many thanks for your time,Zabarrie
