ive never had any PC problems before this. i booted up my pc to notice that it wasnt pickup up my monitor. after a few more rebooot attempts with the same results, i decided to turn on my speakers. when i booted up, my motherboard was yelling "system failed vga test" and still wasnt picking up my monitor. after pulling my radeon x700 agp in and out of the motherboard, i finally got my monitor to wake up. after a few minutes of browsing the net, my screen received some crazy color patterns and then crashed. when i booted up again my monitor was noticed, so i decided to run a test and play a game...the pc froze and crashed within a minute of being in the game. however, the computer would continue to notice the monitor when i booted up and would work ok as long as i didnt play a game ( i didnt try again).the next day when i booted up i got this blue screen of death "ati2dvag" error while windows booted up. it said i was in some type of endless loop or something. when i tried booting up again my monitor would not detect and all i got was my motherboard yelling "system failed vga test" through my speakers. it yelled that error boot up after boot up. i finally decided to put in my old gefore4 mx 400. the 1st 2 boot attempts my monitor wouldnt detect, however i wasnt getting "system failed vga test" through my speakers any more. after about the 3rd boot up with the mx440 the monitor got detected and i havent had any problems ( havent ran a game yet)my question now is wheather this problem is the result of a dieing radeon x700, PSU, or motherboard. the radeon x700 is about 2 1/2 years old, everything else in the pc is about 4yrs old.there is one interesting thing i noticed when pulling the radeon x700 in and out of the agp slot. when i pull the card out and back in without its extra power wire and then boot the pc up, the monitor would come on telling me in red text that my graphic card is missing its required extra power wire. however, when i put the little power wire into the card and boot up again, the monitor doesnt detect and all i get is "system failed vga test" through my speakers.ive been reading many posts with people having either the "ati2dvag" or "system failed vga test", but no one that ive noticed has had them in the same day as me. it seems that "ati2dvag" is a graphic card error, however, since i was having boot up problems before that, it makes me think it can be the PSU instead, or both.here is my temp and volt results from speedfan ( i dont know what is considered normal results when using this program)
