| So I just installed a new agp video card in my computer - nvidia geforce 7300. When I start up my computer, sometimes my monitor will shut off and display its default message when not connected to a computer "no signal, check signal cable". I check all the cables and everything is plugged in correctly. Upon startup again monitor turns on and is fine until I run another program (windows media player, internet explorer...) does the same thing. This goes on and on but sometimes i don't have a problem at all. Usually after the third restart.I have the latest drivers for the video card, and i'm pretty sure that there wasn't a problem when i installed the video card. Do I have a defective video card? Or is there something else I should look at? |
