| Hello,I have a basic HP desktop with 1gb ram, 120gb HD, Pentium 4... so what i need help with i have a basic sound card in the HP desktop, i have a sound board that use to run from there to get all the sound from microphones, music playing in the background etc and ran it from RCA out to a tape player to record the audio on a cassett tape (i know old huh), well they would like it to be on PC so they can burn the recording on a CD/DVD when they want to since the HP has a burner, well i want to know is, do i need a sound card for my hp so that way it can accept RCA out from sound board and accept sound in to HP desktop? or can i us the same basic sound card in my PC just plug it into the microphone 3.5 or the audio 3.5 on the hp? Thank you in advance. also what software do you recommend to record the sounds? can i use the default windows recorder? |
