Default windows xp clients disconnect from server(windows 2003)when i login in domain server

Hi there, I hope someone could help me with this, my problem is whenever my clients tried to log in our domain it keeps on saying that domain is not available, but when i restart the server itself and not logging in as domain administrator it seems that every thing is working, i can even ping the server. I'm not sure if this cause by virus or hardware or cards or something my last option would be restoring its backup that's 2months ago.. but maybe there's other solution around.
