| Hey,About a month ago I had recieved my new ISP along with a router, I currently own 2 computers, a desktop and a laptop. The first day of which I had been using my new ISP's router, I was using it on my desktop. It was working fine for the first few hours of the day, but I installed windows xp SP3 and restarted the computer, to find I was unable to establish a connection with the internet (no packets were recieved, stuck on 'Limited or No connectivity').I tried to use the 'repair' function on this, but it got to 'Acquiring IP address' (or it may have been 'Requesting IP address, I'm not too sure)and was unable to repair the connection. My router is working fine, I'm using it at the moment to post this message, so it must be something on the computer blocking internet access. My desktop (which is the computer facing this problem) is running on windows xp Professional and SP3 (I think...)Any help on this issue would be appreciated ![]() |
