Default Hip interface controller- another fancy gadget

http://www.techsupportforum.com/hard...-mons.htmlThat was the first fancy gagdget i found..now I found HIP- Hardware Interface Program.MY HVR-1600 came with a desktop MCE remote. But I don't run MCE on my desktop. Turns out remote runs fine with the laptop. So, I looked around, found the proper drivers for the "eHome IR Transmitter" via my XP pro disk (Home won't have the drivers- MCE and Pro does). Then downloaded HIP and got it configured. It doesn't support everything, but I got windows explorer, itunes, powerpoint, and media player configured (it's application specific). play, next, previos, FF, rew, directionals, ok, volume, mute, numerals, and the 4 colored buttons work. I have attached the configuration file I am using to make everything work, as well as the modified drivers that allow the eHome IR device to work under XP home.http://www.byremote.com.au/downloads...P*Disclaimer*: Be aware that these are modified drivers that have not gone through Microsoft's driver verification system. While these drivers are tested under XP Home 32 bit, under no circumstance are they intended to be portrayed as authentic, unique, or multi-OS supportive. If your IR device is already working, it is not suggested that these drivers be used. Mods, if this is deemed unjustified, you may edit this disclaimer further or repeal the attachment. If the use of these drivers causes your system to BSOD, crash, or in any way cause your system to become unstable and/or inoperable, I, nor anyone at TSF, shall be responsible for the damages to your system or OS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
