| Hi, just a quick question! I had a external western digital harddrive randomly die on me a few months back and it has been sitting in my basement with other junk for sometime now. I forget who it was I called, but they said they could recover the information on it by doing some process for $70, Is this "process" possible to do at home? Or was it completely BS that they could bring it back to life and recover the data? Because I would really like to recover the data on that HD without having to pay money to do it. I remember the day when it stopped working, I was hearing alot of clicking sounds coming from it then it just wen't dead. I did try freezing it, hearing from some people that that could roll it back for long enough to get the data off of it. |
