Unusual question, I know, but I was curious... I wasn't really sure which section to post this, but since it's storage related, I figured this was the best place. And keep in mind, I'm a complete computer novice, so I still know next to nothing about computers. With that said, take this question in stride . I was just curious as to if it were possible to find and access files (like pics, vids, or text files, for example) from other hardware aside from the harddrive? For example: a ram stick, CD-ROM drive, Floppy, mobo, etc. I started wondering about this yesterday while I was recovering lost files on my slave drive, and although I would assume the HDD is the only hard-ware capable of storing files, I figured I'd ask you guys to know for sure. Heck, for the longest time, I actually thought that once files on your HDD were deleted and recycled they were gone for good. It's just a case of being uneducated on the subject I suppose hehe. So in short - Does any other piece of hard-ware in a computer have storage space of some kind and is it at all possible to access it? Thanks in advance. |
