Default Dead Hard drive??

Ok I have a DiamondMax 10 hard drive 180GB. It has been working just fine up until now. The warranty is expired. I was plugging it into my computer to get some files off of it and i mistakingly (stupidly) plugged the power connecter in WHILE the computer was on. since this, the hard drive wont boot. as in if I hold it, i feel no vibration or indication that it's on (I have held it while it's on and I could feel it). I have tried plugging it into several different computers. Non can start it. I have some important files on it. Is there someway I can get it going?
