I love to play games on the internet. I am unable to download certain games.I checked my DirectX and downloaded a newer version (I think). I still seemed to have a problem with d3d8.dll. It is apparently an old version and suggests that I reinstall DirectX which I did and there was no correction to the problem. This is what happens: After I download a game this appears on the screen. "Direct3D Open GL DXGL win32/wrapper 0.07 Direct3D8.1 Build Jun7 2002" and then a black screen and the following error "C:\DOCU``1\user\locals``1 temp4701_appcompat.txt". What is GL and do I want it?Do I have to delete the old version of DirectX first and then reinstall?:upset:
