Default Windows does not see RAID 1 drives

I use the Asus A8NSLI Premium motherboard, which comes with the Silicon Image RAID controller, and I set up a RAID 1 following instructions in my motherboard manual. I pressed F4 during startup, went into the utility, and created a new RAID set.Whenever I startup my computer, it shows me that the controller sees the correct RAID set, but windows doesn't see it (I use windows xp pro).Do I need to update my drivers? Would doing so screw up the RAID set I just created? And which drivers should I get?
